Shirley J. Jenkins attended Gulf  Coast State College in Panama City, Florida and Florida Memorial College in Miami, Florida.  Has worked for the Department of Transportation, Florida Power Corporation, and Florida National Bank.  She Co-Pastors New Life Christian Center Church located in Port St Joe, and New Life Christian  Center East in Tallahassee.   Married to Pastor Johnny Jenkins Jr., six children to this union.

I was elected as Gulf County Tax Collector in 2001 – present.

I serve on the Capital City Bank as a Board of Director, Washington Improvement Group Board of Director, a member of Port St. Joe Kiwanis Club, and Port St Joe Garden club, Former Board of Trustee of Gulf Coast State College.  Former District (2) Director of Florida Tax Collectors Association.

Board member of the Florida Tax Collectors Service Corporation.
